Chris, the owner and operator of firestormphoto.com, has been an avid
photographer for over 23 years. Starting with an all-manual SLR camera as a
gift from his father in the early 1980's, Chris learned to the fundamentals of
photography, then expanded upon that by shooting well over 500 frames a year.
Now the father of two young boys, he found that with all the activity that kids
provide, film cameras resulted in too few quality prints.
Chris now shoots pictures with an 8-megapixel Canon camera, several portrait
and zoom lenses, and enough storage capacity to shoot well over 1,000
images per day. This results in the ability to shoot pictures of several events in
the same day, faster review of the pictures, the ability to print pictures in a much
shorter period of time.
After shooting a couple of seasons of baseball and a season of football, more
and more people became interested in Chris' work. They found that their
point-and-shoot cameras did not offer the range and quality that they desired.
And with the addition of the custom pictures with player names and team
names, word spread like wildfire.
